====== Metal Age ======

The Metal Age is the 3rd age.

The Metal [[technological age|Age]] is an extremely long lasting age and is perhaps one of the most sedate. The longest recorded planetary arc that exists for a perpatual Metal Age is maintained on the [[humans|Human]] world of [[Rhodicon]], which still continues to exist in the Metal Age after over 24,000 uninterupted years.

The Metal Age is characterised by high inter-state competition, low population urban areas, low (or non existant) mass production, transient forms of currency that do not travel well, poor educational espousement and low regard of the intelligensia, no global view of the world among said intelligensia and the existance of city states which are able to remain internationally viable. 

In short the Metal age lacks a major super power that is able to sustain mass production, and a global view of the world.

Lastly 2 or 3 civilisations may belong to the metal age and be super powers in their sphere of the planet yet not actually meet due to the very poor global awareness levels of the intelligensia.
