The Gobal age is the 5th age.

The Global [[technological age]] is an intresting time of maturation and growth, power needs are almost always carbon based, but become increasingly solar entrapped, fissile and fusion power supplies come into play. 

The huge changes, and constant inequality throughout the population during the global age can spiral to giddy levels of fractious military collision by nation states and ethnic groupings. As the liveable plane comes more and more exponentially cluttered with human individuals, mega cities spring up, and high buliding technology becomes important. 

DNA reading become primitavely available too, with typically simple process flow DNA/protein interations being studied and dislocated across species.

Weapons include nuclear, chemical, and chemo-kinetic, also aviation and sub/surface marine technology.

Finally the networking interconnections ususaly span globally, utilising speed-of-light encoded high process requirement datastreams.
