| Merén orbits the gas giant Series a bit like our Io orbits Jupiter but it is a 7 degrees removed non-planar orbit. As are all the moons. It is thought the gas giant is actually a captured planet. Merén is a beautiful world that has some of the most unusual geology in the universe: It is 1.12 mass of the earth even though is 1.8 the size because it is not made up of a solid iron core but rather a non-magnetic form of berylium silicate on a magnetic iron berylium alloy molten core. | Merén orbits the gas giant Series a bit like our Io orbits Jupiter but it is a 7 degrees removed non-planar orbit. As are all the moons. It is thought the gas giant is actually a captured super giant that has destroyed or recruited all the original system objects. Merén is a beautiful world, with stunning skies, and it has some of the most unusual geology in the universe: It is 1.12 mass of the earth even though is 1.8 the size because it is not made up of a solid iron core but rather a non-magnetic form of berylium silicate on a magnetic iron berylium alloy molten core. In fact it is the single most abundant source of berylium in the known universe. |

| Merén orbits the gas giant once every 24.009 hours and rotates on it's own axis once every 24.009 hours too. There is a slight polar axial tilt of 19 degrees but it is largely geosynchronously locked to continually face the gas giant on the "riven face". Merén has poles, but also an antriven and a riven hemisphere. | Merén orbits the gas giant once every 24.009 hours and rotates on it's own axis once every 24.009 hours too. | Merén is able to sustain life because of its thick wet atmosphere, and the huge ridge of mountains that ring the rivenface, the mountains are so high they cut off a huge circular ocean on a plateux. This ocean/mountain plateaux - together with the fact that Merén has a highly wet atmosphere means it is able to be suprisingly stable. In short Merén is a very watery world with incredibly consistant weather systems, mildly seasonal every 378 days due to the orbit eccentricity broadly speaking the more "antriven" you go from the latrator the colder it gets, snowy at the poles. Wet warm weather runs continually at surface level towards the riven face - where it never stops raining, and has not stopped for millions of years. | Merén is able to sustain life because of its thick wet atmosphere, and the huge ridge of mountains that ring the rivenface, the mountains are so high they cut off a huge circular ocean on a plateux. | The acid rain itself is what the locals call "the rivenwall". It rains so hard and thickly it is basically inpenetrable - underfoot is a slipery murderous mulch that dribles into the posion sea. This acid waterfall from the sky dissolves the posion and caustic misery of the rivenface which fills a landlocked ocean of poisonous filth. This ocean boils into the cautic melting pot of the volcanos where the water is pumped back into the air to super saturate it and the poisons are recalled into the moons core. | The acid rain itself is what the locals call "the rivenwall".
