 The vehicles they maintain (and devlop) must be able to survive incredible forces, a battle suit is usually dropped from high orbit and it air brakes into the high atmosphere using energy weapons to obliterate surface human population and stop any fleeing rememnant. The units swarm over the surface in a mathematical pattern that focuses on population density. They are able to conspicuously //not// kill certain marked individuals, and their weapons facilitate this.
